This is everything I didn’t know about emotionally charged communication.
Why? Because every human will eventually bump into someone’s traumas and triggers. Your triggers or their triggers, it doesn’t matter who, emotionally charged misunderstandings will arise. If you’re kinky or poly, you are going to run into these situations even fast and more often than the monogamous folks. How will you handle them? My advice, start talking and practicing now, before the emotionally charged moments happen.
I’m NOT a therapist or a Ph.D. I’m someone who has learned all this through experience (aka the hard way). I’m simply sharing what works for me and those around me. I believe, if you try these tools, the results will be self-evident.
